Commencement season: congratulations and commencement ceremonies

A warm congratulations to all Spring 2021 University of Alaska graduates! Your accomplishments are impressive and we are proud to soon call you members of our vast and talented alumni community. 

Commencement ceremonies will take place across the state over the next month. 

Below are the dates for each ceremony: 

University of Alaska Fairbanks

  • Celebration and graduate parade on campus: 9:30 a.m., Saturday, May 1
  • The Virtual Ceremony: 4 p.m. Saturday, May 1
    This event will be livestreamed online via Facebook and Youtube.

UAF - Kuskokwim Campus

  • Virtual Commencement
    1:30 p.m., April 30, 2021

UAF - Chukchi Campus - No commencement this year 

UAF - Northwest Campus 

  • May 13, 7 p.m.

UAF - Bristol Bay Campus

  • Details TBD

University of Alaska Anchorage

  • Masters and doctoral candidates will be celebrated at the graduate degree hooding ceremony, Saturday, May 1 at 3 p.m.

    All graduates will be celebrated at the commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 2 at 1 p.m. These events will be launched promptly at these times, and available for viewing any time after that. Ceremonies can be viewed here

UAA - Kenai Peninsula College (both Homer and Soldotna campuses)

  • May 6, 6 p.m. virtual ceremony at 6 p.m.

UAA - Kodiak College 

  • May 7, 7 p.m. 

UAA - Mat-Su College 

  • May 7, more information will be available at a later date 

UAA - Prince William Sound College 

  • Special Commencement website will be launched on May 5

University of Alaska Southeast - Juneau Campus

  • Juneau will host a virtual commencement ceremony this year. The virtual ceremony will go live Friday, April 30th at 5 p.m. AKST.

UAS - Ketchikan Campus 

  • Ketchikan will host a virtual commencement ceremony this year. The virtual ceremony will go live Friday, April 30 at 5 p.m. AKDT

UAS - Sitka Campus

  • Sitka will host a virtual commencement ceremony this year. The virtual ceremony will go live Friday, April 30th at 5 p.m. AKST.
