Sara Perman joins the UA Government Relations Team!

Please help us in welcoming the newest member of UA’s Government Relations office.
Sara Perman joined the UA Government Relations Team in December 2021. Prior to joining the UA team, Sara worked as a legislative aide in the Alaska State House for four years, working in the offices of House Speaker Louise Stutes and Representative Matt Claman.
During her time in the Legislature, Sara focused primarily on transportation and energy issues. She was responsible for the passage of several pieces of legislation, and she worked closely with state departments to develop their annual budgets.
Outside of her work in the Legislature, Sara recently managed the City of Homer’s CARES Act Economic Relief Grants, and she currently provides general support to the Atwood Foundation offering financial support for the fine arts, journalism, historic preservation, and other civic enterprises.
Sara is well known for developing and maintaining positive relationships with the public and policymakers alike.
Sara was born in Anchorage, Alaska. She graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks with a Bachelor of Science in Geology. She lives in Girdwood with her husband Jon.
