Lawrence Duffy wins award for supporting students in chemical sciences

Lawrence K. Duffy was the 2020 awardee of American Chemical Society Award for Encouraging Disadvantaged Students into Careers in the Chemical Sciences.

The award is sponsored by Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation. Duffy was selected for many years of work with Alaska Native and American Indian chemistry, biochemistry and biology students, and his encouragement of them at the high school, undergraduate and graduate levels to follow their dreams of careers in science and medicine.
