UAF's Juday honored by alma mater

Glenn Juday, University of Alaska Fairbanks professor emeritus of forest ecology, will receive the 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award by the Purdue University Forestry and Natural Resources program.

The award will be presented on the Purdue campus on April 18. Juday is an alumnus of Purdue.

Juday was selected in recognition of his "excellence in teaching, pioneering research, efforts in shaping conservation and related policy, and service to both his profession and community."

His career has spanned 50 years, focusing on forest ecology and effects of a changing climate on tree growth and biodiversity, as well as forest regeneration following fires and harvesting.
