Gov. Mike Dunleavy names two appointments to the UA Board of Regents
Last week, Gov. Mike Dunleavy announced two appointments to the University of Alaska Board of Regents. The appointees are Regent Dale Anderson, who has been re-appointed to an 8-year term, and new Regent Ralph Seekins, a well-known Fairbanks business owner, UAF business leader of the year [1990] and former state senator.
Regent Anderson is well versed in the board’s commitment to equity and diversity, and its strategic goals – developing a skilled workforce, contributing to the state’s economic development, growing our world-class research, increasing degree completions and operating more cost effectively.
Regent Seekins has previously served on many important governing boards throughout the state, including the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation.
Both Regents Anderson and Seekins will join the board for its February committee meetings and the next full Board of Regents meeting Feb. 25-26.
