Announcing Maggie Demers as UA Foundation Director of Communications and PR

Maggie Demers, a longtime UAF employee, has accepted the position to serve as UA Foundation's next Director of Communications and Public Relations.
A UAF alumna (’03), Maggie brings with her many years of experience in wildland fire and forestry public affairs. She has also spent many years in communications and journalism outside of wildland fire, including over 20 years linked to the snowboard and outdoor industries.
She began her career in development with UAF in 2015 as a lead major gift officer and has since spent almost 10 years in this field. For the past few years, she has been providing support to the UA Foundation’s principal gifts team.
Demers has been in this new position since May 6, 2024.
