The University of Alaska Center for Economic Development staff earn certifications

Alaska’s community of Certified Economic Development professionals grew from two to four last month! We are very proud to announce that two University of Alaska Center for Economic Development's staff members, Richelle Johnson and Ian Mills, recently passed their Certified Economic Developer exams.
The Certified Economic Developer program is a professional certification administered by the International Economic Development Council. To earn the certification candidates must complete coursework specific to the economic development profession, work in the field for six years, and complete a rigorous exam process. Ian and Richelle join a network of more that 1,100 other economic developers across the world with the certification.

The University of Alaska Center for Economic Development (UA CED) is a university-based partnership promoting economic diversity through entrepreneurship, community building, and action-oriented strategy. UA CED is a program of the University of Alaska Anchorage Business Enterprise Institute and is one of 72 University Centers designated by the U.S. Economic Development Administration.
