Teri Cothren wins 2023 PACE Economic Development Award

Teri Cothren, the Associate Vice President of Workforce Development at the University of Alaska, has been awarded the 2023 PACE Economic Development Award by the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE).

This annual award recognizes outstanding individuals or teams contributing to economic growth, specifically in areas such as entrepreneurship, government bids, or business expansion. Teri Cothren's achievement highlights her remarkable contributions in these areas.

The PACE Division Awards also acknowledge individuals for their exceptional work in Career and Technical Education (CTE), exemplary programs, and organizations promoting and expanding CTE initiatives.

Teri Cothren, who started her career at the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) and later joined UA Workforce Development in 2013, has played a key role in managing various projects, including the UA Technical Vocational Education Program. Her dedication led to a well-deserved promotion to Associate Vice President in May 2019.
