Regent Babcock tenders resignation

Regent Tuckerman Babcock resigned from the Board of Regents effective August 2nd, citing an unfortunate inability to devote the full time and attention the Regents and the University of Alaska deserve. Chair Seekins and President Pitney thanked him for his service on the Board.
Babcock was appointed to the Board on May 31 by Governor Mike Dunleavy, and was to expected to serve until his legislative confirmation hearing next spring.
