After nearly 40 years of service to UA, Michael Ciri has announced his plans to retire this fall. He has served as a student employee, has taught computer programming and education classes as an adjunct faculty member, has been a technical specialist in data networking and system administration, and most recently has served as both the Director of IT Services and the Vice Chancellor for Administration.
“Please join me in thanking Michael for his many years of service and congratulating him on this wonderful step that he is taking,” said Chancellor Aparna Palmer, “He has been an amazing leader who has led with great love and compassion for the people at UAS and for UAS itself! He will leave big shoes to fill and will certainly be missed.”
The search for Michael’s replacement will begin soon, with a goal of filling his position by the time he retires in October. There will be opportunities for faculty and staff to participate during the search process.
