Security Awareness Video for February 2021 - Passwords

It might be hard to believe, but even though the Internet has been around for more than 35 years, the most popular (and crackable!) passwords endure. In fact, ‘123456’ was used as a password by over 2.5 million people in 2020

You can protect yourself by using a long, random, memorable password - it’s okay, (in fact, it’s even better) if it’s nonsense to everyone but you. We’ve got password advice and tips if you need them!

Does typing that much seem a little over the top? Consider using a password manager. You can store your complex passwords in a single place for your convenience, protected by a long, memorable, and random master password.

You can further protect yourself (and your password manager!) by using multi factor authentication (MFA) wherever possible. You might already have this set up for banking or other important applications. You can even enable it on your UA Google account!
