National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM) – observed every October – was created as a collaborative effort between government and industry to ensure every American has the resources they need to stay safer and more secure online.

This year’s theme is “Do Your Part. #BeCyberSmart.” UA Security Matters will be hosting a series of Zoom presentations, online scavenger hunts, publishing new security awareness articles, as well as hosting a poster and video contest. Earn points for participation for yourself and your department, organization or group!

Up-to-date information on NCSAM events can be found on their web page, https://alaska.edu/securitymatters/ncsam/  The UA Security Matters web page is also a great place to find recent security news, tip guides, outreach materials, and links to security training videos.
