2022 Disability Services Conference, Nov. 7-11

All University of Alaska system staff and faculty are cordially invited to attend the Disability Services Conference, Nov. 7-11, 2022. All sessions will be conducted via Zoom.

Two sessions will be offered per day, as well as an open coffee chat with Disability Support Services staff.

  • 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. - Coffee chat with DSS. Bring your questions!
  • 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. - First session
  • 2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. - Second Session

The opening keynote session on Monday, Nov 7th at 10:00 a.m. will feature Haley Moss speaking about dismantling ableist barriers and celebrating neurodiversity.

The closing keynote session on Friday, Nov 11th at 2:00 p.m. will feature Luke Adams, multiple year competitor on the Amazing Race speaking about disability as diversity.  

Other sessions will include: accessible documents overview; an introduction to disability processes and accommodations; a student panel, and presenters from the Alaska Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, and from the Office for Civil Rights.
