Alaska EPSCoR is offering support for students, postdocs, and faculty to apply for support to participate in the Sitka Sound Science Center's "Scientist in Residency Fellowship" (SIRF) or "Scientists in the Schools" (SIS) programs in spring 2025.

Both programs offer an excellent experience that grounds researchers in the community of Sitka, Alaska. You can read about the experiences of previous Scientists in Residency here, such as Alaska EPSCoR researchers Brian Ulaski and Julie Schram. You can see examples of past SIS units here.

For more information and to apply, email taborland@alaska.edu regarding your interest by September 30, 2024.
