Title IX: Sex and Gender Based Discrimination Prevention Training
This year UA will launch a combined training for employees, students, and university volunteers.
What you need to know:
- Mandatory UA/UAA/UAS UA Safe Title IX training is accessible through Blackboard
- Mandatory UAF UA Safe Title IX training is accessible through Canvas
- UA Safe Title IX Training completion deadline is October 31 annually.
Training is based on university policies and adapted to meet both employee and student training needs.
This Title IX training course will cover sensitive issues. If you have questions or would like to request to be released from this course please contact your Title IX Office.

For Students
Students* are required to complete UA Safe Title IX training annually.
- UA/UAA/UAS: UA Safe Title IX training (Blackboard)
- UAF: UA Safe Title IX training (Canvas)
For Employees
Employees are required to complete UA Safe Title IX training annually.
New employees are expected to complete the training within 30 days of hire.

For Volunteers
All volunteers at the university are required to complete “UA Safe Title IX Training” prior to their volunteer service.
