Oral History Transcripts

A key focus of the Creating Alaska Project is the collection of oral histories from the individuals who played a role in the Alaska statehood movement. These oral histories, conducted by Dr. Terrence Cole and filmed by a professional film crew with state of the art technology, compliment many aspects of the project. After the interview is conducted, the footage is transcribed, then catalogued and archived at the University of Alaska Fairbanks' Rasmuson Library Oral History Collection. The interviews are then digitized and broken down into topical clips for publishing on the web. As this process nears completion, we will make the material available on our website. Below are some of the transcripts from interviews conducted to date.
