Wendy Redman granted Vice President Emerita title

On July 23, Wendy Redman, a long-time university employee, was granted the title of Vice President Emerita by UA President Jim Johnsen.

Redman, who retired in August 2011, was in Fairbanks as part of UAF Summer Sessions' Centennial Celebration Speakers Series where notable figures from the university's history are interviewed by journalist Robert Hannon. At the conclusion of the interview, Vice President for University Relations Michelle Rizk presented the recognition, noting Redman's 41-year career with the university, and bestowing on her the title, rights and privileges of Vice President Emerita.

Redman served alongside 10 university presidents, acted as interim president in 1998, and is widely recognized for her efforts to improve higher education, programming and university facilities across Alaska. She is remembered for her exceptional leadership and role in coordinating career and technical education between the university and state, as well as building private philanthropic support for the UA System.

Congratulations to Wendy!

Colleen O'Neill moves to Cost Analysis

Colleen O'Neill has transitioned from Internal Audit to the Cost Analysis department, serving as a cost analyst. O'Neill began at Statewide in May 2014 as an internal auditor. As of June 12, 2017 she has transitioned into a fiscal professional 3 position in Cost Analysis. As the transition occurred during an external audit, O'Neill was able to provide a smooth transition for both departments as she assisted the auditors with information requests and account information.

O'Neill and her colleagues in the Cost Analysis department recently attended a Maximus Higher EducationConference in Portland onfederal regulation 2 CFR Part 200, which includes Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirement for Federal Awards.

Cost Analysis is thrilled to have her on their team.
