Debra Rimer joined the Statewide Cost Analyst Department after three years at UAF. Rimer is responsible for the F&A rate proposal, functional use survey and quarterly financial compliance reviews. In addition, she develops and delivers training workshops regarding cost analysis topics.

Prior to coming to Statewide, Rimer spent a year as the fiscal officer for the UAF College of Engineering & Mines. She first came to UA as a fiscal tech for Facilities Services/Design and Construction and worked there for two years. Her work before coming to UA includes being a contract administrator for a Department of Defense research contract at Alaska Tent & Tarp for three years, and the office/accounting manager for Nortech Environmental Engineering for six years.

Rimer has been in Alaska since 1984. She was born in Mountain Home, Idaho, and grew up in Kokomo, Indiana. Rimer moved to Alaska from Texhoma, Oklahoma.

Rimer attended UAF and in 1997 she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Economics. She conducted a one-year, graduate-level study in Resource Economics in 1998.

Rimer enjoys hiking and the outdoors. She is involved in community organizations and community service projects. She is also interested in quilting.
