The Institute for Arctic Sustainability is a central branch of the University of the Arctic. It explores sustainable urban development in the region as Arctic demographics rapidly change. Research projects through the Institute develop zero-waste, circular economy models that make use of advancements in energy, mobility, and food systems. As a global consortium, including researchers and policymakers from around the world, the Institute facilitates collaborations that allow the insights, policy frameworks, and IP arising from the Institute’s work to be disseminated globally.
