ANSEP

The Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program (ANSEP) is instrumental in training the next generation of Alaska Native science and mathematics innovators. It gives Alaska Native youth the support and opportunity to excel in these fields. Starting with one student in 1995, growing to 2,500 by 2020, and now at 10,000, the program serves a large portion of the Alaska Native community. ANSEP is a core part of student life from high school, through college, and into a profession and/or graduate school. ANSEP has become a global expert in education that incorporates indigenous values and knowledge with modern science.

ANSEP partners with major employers of engineers and scientists, Alaska school districts, and ANCSA regional associations.
