Tamera (Tammi) Weaver was appointed Chief Treasury Officer for the University of Alaska System in 2017. She is responsible for UA’s Treasury Management Program, the UA Scholars Program and serves as Trust Administrator for the Education Trust of Alaska which offers Alaska’s three 529 education savings plans with assets in excess of $9 billion.
Weaver grew up in Fairbanks, attending local schools and graduating from the University of Alaska Fairbanks with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. After graduation, she became a licensed Certified Public Accountant and worked with a CPA firm in Fairbanks for 8 years. In 1993, she accepted the position of Cash & Investment Manager at the University of Alaska. In 2006, she was appointed Chief Investment Officer for the University and the University of Alaska Foundation with responsibility for the University Cash Management and Investment Programs, the UA Foundation Accounting Operations and the UA Foundation’s Investment Program including the Consolidated Endowment Fund.
