Jodie Anderson has been appointed to serve as the director of the Institute of Agriculture, Natural Resource and Extension. 

Anderson is a soil scientist whose personal life has shaped her passion for the mission of a land grant university. She is the great-niece and granddaughter of two Michigan State University Cooperative Extension Service professionals.

IANRE contains the Alaska Farm Experimental Stations of Fairbanks and Palmer, Cooperative Extension Service programming areas of Home, Health and Family Development, Agriculture/Horticulture and the Mining and Petroleum Training Service.
