Monique Musick was born and raised in Ester, Alaska. After attending ICS and later Lathrop High School, she received a bachelor’s of art in journalism from UAF. She currently works for UA Public Affairs doing what she enjoys most: photography, communications and graphic design. She became involved with governance in 2009 shortly after coming to UA Statewide and has enjoyed being an active member of System Governance ever since. She values the opportunity afforded through shared governance to support co-workers, participate in policy review, advise on changes in the university and to advocate on behalf of staff throughout the system. She recently purchased her old family home in Ester and enjoys gardening, photography, motor sports, outdoor activities, prospecting, music and time with friends.

Kathleen McCoy is a Navy brat born in Denver, CO, who followed her family to Guam, the Philippines, Japan, and eventually San Diego, CA. She earned concurrent BAs in journalism and classical rhetoric from UC Berkeley. She has worked as a reporter and editor in Alaska for 30 years, currently writing stories for internal and external publications for UAA.

Dayna Mackey was born and raised in Oklahoma. She earned a B.S.Ed. in health, physical education and recreation from East Central University (2000), and a M.Ed. in higher education administration from University of Arkansas (2002).  She worked for Arkansas universities before she moved to Fairbanks and worked at UAF. In 2010, she moved to Juneau to work at UAS in the School of Career Education as administrative manager. She participated on various UAF and UAS governance committees.

Faye Gallant was born and raised on the coast of Maine. She received her B.A. in Geography from UAF in 2006, and her Master of Public Administration from UAS in 2013. She lives in a cabin in the woods with her husband and two dogs, and loves to hike, travel, and play outside.

Tom attended Marquette University graduating with a BS degree, majoring in Biomechnical Engineering & Law, and promptly moved to Alaska. He joined OIT as a mid-level technician and was promoted to lead his department less than two years later. He spends as much of his time as he can in the mountains or on Alaska's rivers. Tom currently leads the OIT Desktop Support team.

Marianne Ledford moved to Ketchikan, Alaska in 2007 and has worked as an Administrative & Recruitment Specialist at UAS Ketchikan since February 2008. She has an AAS in Accounting and a BA in Humanities. In her off time, she enjoys traveling, fishing, photography and reading.

Liz came to Alaska 6+ years ago from North Carolina after retiring from the federal government. She has a BS in Organizational Development and an MS in Computer Information Systems. As her retirement job, she decided to join the University. She has worked in Biology, Chemistry & Physics and now serves in the Center for Human Development Department – part of the College of Health. She has served on several committees and committees. Currently is a member of Staff Alliance and serves on the IT Executive Council.
