The Tuition Breakdown

When it comes to defining tuition at the University of Alaska, students are generally sorted into one of three categories. Resident, Non-resident and WUE (Western Undergratuate University Exchange).

RESIDENT - For information about qualifying and applying for residency, visit the RESIDENCY page.
NON-RESIDENT - Taking 4 credits or less each semester? You get charged resident tuition rates!
WUE - Residents of Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming may pay 150% of the Alaska resident tuition rate.

WAIT - There's more!  if you are a dependent of a UA alumni - special rates apply. Be sure to check. Don't forget to budget for fees, books, room, board and personal expenses when planning to attend college.
